Moving Associate
Job Location: Portland, Oregon and surrounding areas
Full-time or Part-Time / Immediate Availability
Role: Furniture mover (non-driver). Loading and Unloading Trucks in Portland
Salary: $14.00 - $17.00 an hour
Typical Starting Rate: $14/hour + tips (Avg $4.65/hr)
Salary Increase: $1.00 pay raise after 90 days. Also eligible for $0.25/hr pay raise every two weeks.
Requirements
Preferred Equivalent Experience: 3 month working as a Furniture Mover, Warehouse Associate, General Laborer, Mover, Packer, Vehicle Loader, UPS Worker
Live within 7 mile radius of Metro Area (Eugene, Salem, Portland)
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Reliable personal transportation with proof-of-insurance
Ability to lift 75 lbs without the use of equipment
Stamina, focus, and ability to walk ramps in all-weather conditions
Own a smartphone with a data plan
Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Be a great team player
You'll be working on things like this
Delivering high-quality, efficient moving services to Portland customers
Developing logistical plans in collaboration with teammates
Moving furniture, appliances, exercise equipment, commercial equipment, etc.
Using professional moving equipment like dollies, lift-gates, lifting straps, tie-downs and more.
Must be can be kind and courteous towards customers
You'll be expected to provide this
Must show kindness and be courteous to customers under all circumstances
Must respond to calls and text messages in a timely manner
Work under tight timetables in a dynamic environment where schedules are fluid
Adhere to formal safety precautions and requirements
Possess a well-groomed, professional appearance
