A five-step process to find the best quote
There is a process for identifying the right moving company…
1 . Get three separate quotes
Ask for three quotes from three moving companies and, from the companies with the most amount of 5-star reviews on Google. Begin with a quote from Moving Fellows.
2. Sort reviews by rating
Start by sorting by “lowest rating” and identify “red flags” related to quotes and estimation. For example, “the company charged me twice what my estimate was”. If the company did not respond to this type of negative testimonial, then I would consider that a “red flag”.
3. Determine move duration
Take your three quotes, find the average cost of service then determine the duration. Every company should provide you with an estimated duration of the time the move will take.
4. Find maximum loading time
Take the duration and multiply by 0.65. For example, if the estimated duration is 4.5 hours multiplied by 0.65, you get around 3 hours. This is what your max loading time at your first stop should be.
5. Include time frame of service
If your job starts at 9 am, then you need everything loaded into the truck by 12 pm (9 am + 3 hours).
